How to Use a Wire Protector

Wire protectors are a wonderful way to protect your wire from fraying as it rubs against the metal of your clasp.We carry them in sterling silver and gold filled to accomodate all of your jewelry designs!

Step 1: Thread your jewelry wire through a crimp bead or tube.


Step 2: Slide the wire through one side of your wire protector.


Step 3:Bend the wire along the curve of the protector and back through the other side.


Step 4: Pull the wire snug.


Step 5: String the loop of your clasp along the wire.


Step 6: Center the clasp on the cable thimble.

Steps 7: Slide the second end of the wire through the same crimp tube you originally used.

Step 8: Crimp the tube as you normally would to finish the action. For a more professional look, cover your crimp tube with a crimp cover.
